The CreatiBrick™ Advantage
An electric locomotive lives on a wire. It draws its power from the overhead line through its pantographs, the folding arms on its roof, and without that wire it goes nowhere. This model brings the whole scene: the Vectron, a stretch of track and the catenary strung above it, all set on a display base.
Built by Siemens, the Vectron hauls freight and passenger trains all across Europe. Here it comes in bright red with black on the wheels, roof and chassis, a faithfully detailed cab and wipers on the windshield.
At 1,889 pieces, this is a long and rewarding build, and the finished model stretches 51 cm (20.1 in) on its base. Raise the pantographs until they touch the wire: that is how an electric locomotive starts its working day.
